I'm starting my 21st year as a School Social Worker, and I can't wait to see what this year holds! I've enjoyed being in Tremont and getting to know the team and all of the students! I hope you'll introduce yourself and say hello if we haven't met yet.
I grew up in Normal, and I'm excited to have moved back to Central Illinois to be close to my family and good friends. After graduating Normal Community High School, I attended Purdue University to receive my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I attended the University of Illinois to earn my Master of Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and believe in the importance of continuing education to make sure I'm providing the best services I can to my students.
The kids will quickly learn that I love to read and will happily take their book recommendations. They will find that I can always talk about my alma mater of Purdue and can be easily distracted when they bring up the latest football or basketball game. They will also realize that I think their jokes are hysterical, and I love it when they stop in the hall to tell me something funny.
