All students in K-5 learned about the life of the 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt...just ask them a fun fact! Kindergarten learned about why the teddy bear was named after Teddy Roosevelt. First graders used directed drawing and made a monochromatic color scheme to look like antique sepia tones. Students in grades 2-5 did their own sketches and chose an image of Teddy Roosevelt to reflect the drawing style they preferred. They were given the choice of using chalk pastels, oil pastels, drawing or watercolor mediums.
