Joining the Firth Family: Out-of-District Enrollment
At Firth School District #59, we take pride in our welcoming community and strong academic tradition. We gladly welcome out-of-district students when space and resources allow. If your family resides outside our district boundaries but you wish to enroll your child in a Firth school, please follow the guidelines below to submit a non-resident application.
The Non-Resident Application Process
To request a transfer into our district, families must submit a complete enrollment packet. Please note that review of your application will only begin once all supporting paperwork is received.
Step 1: Get the Form
Download the official Non-Resident Enrolment Form
Step 2: Collect Required School Records
Contact your student's current or previous school to secure official copies of their attendance history and discipline/behavior logs.
Step 3: Submit to the District office
Turn in the application form and the school records together. You can email or hand-deliver the packet directly to the district office.
Evaluation and Approval Criteria
Firth School District evaluates non-resident transfer requests individually based on state guidelines and district capabilities. Acceptance is determined by:
Available Space: Grade-level enrollment numbers and program capacities must be under our maximum limits.
Student Standing: Review of past attendance patterns and disciplinary history to ensure a good fit for our school environment.
Information Integrity: All data on the application must be fully transparent, verified, and complete.
Important Logistics
Transportation: Families are responsible for arranging all daily transportation to and from school for accepted out-of-district students.
Annual Renewal: Once accepted, families must confirm their intent to return each school year by the district's annual deadline to maintain their spot.
