March 4th was our 100th day in the 2025-26 school-year. Students and staff have been working hard to make sure that everybody at AWJ keeps growing. On Friday, March 12th , the Firth PTO is helping us celebrate by sending us to the Blackfoot Movie Mill for a special showing of Disney/Pixar HOPPERS.
Each Student will receive a bag of popcorn and a drink. While they sit back and enjoy the show. We will be leaving the school at 12:30 and get back at around 3:15 in time to catch the busses.
The AWJ tradition is to decorate the halls for our 100 Days Celebration. So if students mention seeing animals in the hall at school, they may be telling the truth. We have characters from the movie on the walls, as well as a beaver dam.
Students are very excited about going to the movie. We’re so grateful to the PTO, and their president, Byrdie Ostler, for making the celebration possible.
The school is alive with the sound of history. The 4th grade has begun their preparation for their annual Idaho History Program. It is not uncommon to hear kids sing about “Fifty Nifty United States” or “Trappin’ Beaver in the halls . In the afternoon we hear lots of “Yee Haws” coming from the gym as the 4th grade students learn to square dance. The actual performance for the program will be April 16 at 10:00 AM at the Firth High School. Everyone is invited to come and watch our 4th graders shine.
4th Grade Idaho History projects will be on display during Parent/Teacher Conferences Thursday, March 19, from 4-7 PM.
