About Me: Mrs.Walsh

This is my 34th  year in education.  During my tenure,  I've taught Kindergarten-8th grade. At the middle school level, I taught World History, Geography, United States History and as a Reading/Math (RTI) interventionist.   I've earned advanced degrees in educational administration, supervision, reading disabilities and library science.  In my personal life, I'm married to my husband, Brian, who's a tax attorney and NU Wildcats football fan.  As an ISU Redbird the irony of our mascot pairing isn't lost on me.  We have two children, Conor, who recently graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Go huskers! My daughter is a senior at Parsons College of Design in New York City.  We're always entertained by her stories and celebrity sightings.  Quite a difference from my college experience in Bloomington, IL!  Recently, we adopted a Coton de Tulear into our family whom we named Seamus.  He's a white cottonball of comic relief and comfort.  Serving Lincoln's students as their librarian is a great privilege. I get to see first-hand how your children evolve as readers and thinkers.  It's an amazing journey!

As a former social studies teacher & librarian, I love to visit places whose history and literature has shaped us.

My daughter who wanted to "live in NYC" from the time she was in 8th grade and now it's a reality.
