CARMYN SHRODER
Choir and Orchestra teacher, Mr. Moreno, has officially banned the objectively horrid fashion choice of Socks and Crocs from his room. When questioned on why he did so, he only said “Be better.” This decision is wreaking havoc on the 7th grade choir, with several kids having to give up their beloved Socks and Crocs before coming into his room.
Luckily for most who don’t make poor fashion choices, normal shoes are absolutely allowed, however, some are not so fortunate. A 6th grader, who wished to stay anonymous, was crying when interviewed. “How can we show how weird we are if we can’t wear socks and Crocs? This is a nightmare!”
While some people are mourning the fortunate ban of this fashion trend, others are finding ways to cope with the loss. One student has found insulated Crocs to be the newest comfort, much to the dismay and disappointment of most. Conner Reed, a band kid, had this to say. “If it rhymes, it's a crime” He was then escorted to the prison under Mr. Siefken’s desk for rhyming.
The disappearance of Socks and Crocs has become a school-wide problem, as Mr. Roenicke and Mr. Siefken ban them from their rooms as well. For every challenge kid at East, this is an absolute nightmare. “These are the worst days of our lives. Even Space Cadet has broken down at this point. We don’t know how much longer we can survive.” One student quoted. As of now, the “Socks and Crocs Revolution” is about to come to a head. the Shallot team will keep you updated
