Cameras surround the white walled room, accented by the single green wall left to honor the memory of Mr. Padgett’s tree. The tree was lost in the Tree War of 2020 as young masked marauders uprooted it on a daily basis. Now the green wall serves as a reminder of the battles that were fought to protect the tree.

Meanwhile in the Ministry of Truth, Little Sister prepares her daily message. LITTLE SISTER IS WATCHING YOU! Mrs. Kindall takes a sip from her Victory Starbucks as speakers blare the daily 2 minutes of Unicorn. Flashes of images move on the white walls of her classroom as faces appear and disappear in a pattern-like fasion. “Be Vigilant,” she tells the audience. Flashing and interchanging images. Every year since The Great War of 2020, EastSoc has produced FunBook to condition students on normal student behavior. Images of smiling students participating in different clubs assigned by the Ministry of Fun adorn the pages of FunBook. In order to create the FunBook selected members of the Party roam the hallways carrying hand held telescreens. These devices monitor sound and collect images throughout the day. When asked, these hovering dementors will tell you that they are monitoring the halls for examples of GoodAct to be published in FunBook.

At the end of each year, students gather around on the patio outside of the Ministry of Love and take in all of the images of GoodAct, laughing as they celebrate and drink Victory Sodas. This yearly gathering commemorates the end of each successful school year, and stands as a reminder to The Great War of 2020 when Summystein and his compatriots known as the Shallothood sought to put an end to FunBook capturing images of FaceCrime.
