Last Sunday, 7th Grade Student Jimmy Johns was in his third block Social Studies class learning about the Oompa-Loompa religion in the late 30 hundreds when he asked Mr. Stanfield, “Do the Oompa-Loompa’s have an oligarchy government?” Mr. Stanfield was very offended by Jimmy’s question and explained that students were not allowed to discuss religion or politics in school. Jimmy argued that discussion of politics was required in Social Studies to learn about history, and the religion of the Oompa Loompas is very important and highly influenced the United States. Mr. Stanfield told him to go to the principal's office “right this very minute.” The principal’s office is known as the interrogation room to everyone that isn’t the principal. Jimmy hung his head and walked to the principal’s office. The principal was outraged that Jimmy had been asking about religion and said this was an “unforgivable assault.” Jimmy Johns was suspended instantly, and his father, Papa Johns was called to come pick Jimmy up.
