Course Description:
This course is designed for students and athletes to gain strength, explosiveness, agility, quickness, and speed. Students will build upon their weightlifting techniques and will participate in activities to improve balance, agility, speed, and flexibility as well as strength. This class is tailored toward improving athletic performance. Students will also learn different periodization models, speed, and agility, and basics in sports nutrition.

Course Description:
he activity of rock climbing. Students will be introduced to the history of the sport, learn and understand the equipment required to safely participate in the sport, learn the variations of the sport and participate regularly in actual indoor rock climbing. Local climbing gym Gripstone Climbing and Fitness will be the facility used for a full 12 weeks (two class days per week) of climbing during the semester.

Partners in PE is an advanced PE class designed for students with a firm grasp on basic sports skills who are interested in developing leadership skills, have compassion for and/or pursuing a career working with individuals with disabilities. Partners in PE focuses on the physical, intellectual and social growth of all participants. Course Description:
This course is set up to focus on the development of physical performance. Students will enhance their knowledge and physical skills to improve on functional strength, power, linear/lateral speed, agility, and quickness. With a strong emphasis on work ethic, safety, balance and cooperation, students will use free weights, Olympic lifts, plyometrics, agility drills and stabilization training to produce positive outcomes in dynamic physical tests.

Course Description:
This class involves the practice of stress-free breathing, relaxing, and safely performing Yoga poses. Students will learn the origin and benefits of Yoga which include weight loss, better posture, circulation, breathing, stress reduction and better balance. Our emphasis is on form. We also work on core conditioning which strengthens the torso muscle, helping to prevent back pain and can help improve balance, muscle tone, and overall wellness. Students can bring their own Yoga mat or a mat will be provided. This course will also have an emphasis on cardiovascular development utilizing target heart rate values. This is designed for those who want to improve their bodies and reduce stress through targeting precise muscle groups using body weight.
