To most humans, aliens live in the most unreal parts of our imagination: BIG black eyes, tall and skinny bodies, and GIANT green heads. We see them in science-fiction movies and books. But maybe aliens should be listed under the non-fiction category instead...

One human being is like a grain of sand in reference to total life on the entire Earth. The planet Earth is also like a grain of sand (even a bit smaller) in reference to other objects in the infinite universe. A former American astronaut, Leroy Chiao, believes that there is life booming all over the universe. According to him, “It would be the height of arrogance to think that we are alone.” The chances of Earth's inhabitants being the only life in the entire universe are likely to be slim. To agree with Chiao, it’s pretty conceited to believe that we are the only ones here. But how can we believe otherwise with no proof? Maybe, there is proof.

There have been many stories of UFO sightings and human encounters with aliens. There have also been plenty of conspiracy theories regarding our own government hiding alien discoveries and technological breakthroughs—for example, the allegations on what’s really in Area 51. There’s no way to prove these allegations and claims of encounters and often pictures of aliens or UFO’s, thought to be from outer space, are usually tampered with or photo-shopped. However, many credible sources have come out with claims about how aliens do exist… credible sources, as in astronauts themselves.

Major Gordon Cooper, an original Mercury Astronaut and the last American to journey alone into space, claimed to have seen a UFO on one of his missions. In 1963, Cooper took off for space in a capsule for a 22 orbit exploration around the Earth. While in his last lap around Earth he reported to a tracking station that he saw a “glowing, greenish object” ahead of him that was getting closer to his capsule. The flying object was even picked up by the tracking station’s tracking radar, proving that the object was real. The National Broadcasting Company was covering the flight throughout the entire mission. However, when Cooper’s flight was over, he was not allowed to answer questions about the UFO. This is one among many different stories including the sightings of a UFO.
