Searching for Scholarships can take time and energy, but is absolutely worth the effort. Remember, you should never have to pay to submit a scholarship application. If you come across a website with a scholarship opportunity asking for a payment, it is not legitimate.
Most Scholarship Applications will close by March of your Senior Year! Please start looking for scholarships early during your Senior year!
Where do Scholarships Come From?
Most scholarships will come directly from the college itself. Once you have been accepted to a college, you can apply for any scholarships they offer, online through the college. Please visit each colleges Financial Aid/Scholarship website for more information.
Many colleges also have what is called a Foundation, made up of generous donors who award varying amounts of scholarships to students. You should be able to find out if a college you are interested in has a Foundation through their Financial Aid webpage.
Scholarships can also come from large and small businesses, non-profit organizations, scholarship foundation programs and individual donors. You can combine many scholarships together, and there is no limit to how many you can apply for.

The Air Force, Army, Coast Guard and Navy/Marines all offer ROTC programs at many colleges across the country. If you are interested in joining their ROTC program, they will help fund your college tuition for a Bachelors degree, with the agreement that you will serve as an officer for a certain number of years upon graduation.
