We are excited you are interested in taking college courses here at Falcon High.
Here is information you'll want, and the steps you need to apply:
To get started in Traditional Concurrent Enrollment (CE) you will need to complete the 4 Steps below by the deadlines. It is critical that students complete these steps themselves. Students doing these steps themselves is the first step in demonstrating a student's readiness for college classes. Read all of the notes associated with each step. Any late applications will automatically place a student on the wait list.
Please note that all students are required to maintain Cs or better in order to be eligible for Concurrent Enrollment.
All grade levels are eligible to apply for Traditional Concurrent Enrollment.
Mrs. Allen is the advisor that oversees concurrent enrollment: cheryl.allen@d49.org
It's free! Sign up as a high school student taking college classes. Your acceptance takes 24-48 hours to show up in your email inbox, and it sometimes goes to junk mail.
Note - Leave time to get your S# (student number) and finish the other steps before Feb 28th.
Link for College Opportunity Fund (COF) - suggested to do this the same day you apply to PPSC.
If your reading/writing score on your P/SAT is 470+ then sign onto collegeboard.org and download your score sheet, no accuplacer is needed.
If not, sign up to take the Accuplacer college class placement test. The window of time to request test tickets has passed for the Sept 24th Accuplacer date. You have two choices once you have your S# (Pikes Peak State College student number).
1. Schedule an Accuplacer at the college: Link to PPSC Test Ctr
If FHS dates do not work in your schedule for the Accuplacer, please make an appt at: PPSC Testing Center
Fun fact, the college does not share enrollment information with us, so this is the piece we need at FHS to know you want to do CE.
This Application will require you to have Steps 1 and 2 completed.
****Students that apply after 2/28/2026 will be automatically added to the waitlist.****
1) Students will receive an email in March letting them know if they were accepted, or if denied what they need to work on for future applications.
2) When accepted, students and one guardian must attend a mandatory CE information session to complete the application process ( there will be a few dates given in the acceptance email).
College courses offered across District 49. They rotate and may only be offered certain semesters.
