I began my teaching career in 2002. Over the last 20 years, I've taught 5th graders, 2nd graders, earned my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning , and became a certified Reading Specialist. Literacy has always been a passion of mine, and having the opportunity to help children find reading success is one I am excited to embrace.

I grew up in Libertyville and still live there. While I don’t have any children of my own, I have nieces and nephews I love spending time with. Some of my favorite things include: the color blue, sleeping in late, and playing Roblox!

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

1. I'm the oldest in my family. I'm also the shortest!

2. My greatest fear is sharks, but my favorite movie is Jaws.

3. I love Diet Cokes from McDonald's (extra ice, please!)

4. When I was in college, I went skydiving! My mom was not happy.

5. Before I went to school to be a teacher, I went to school to be a nurse.
