Hello!  My name is Melinda Berger and I am the Special Education Teacher on 7 Blue for this school year.  I have been in the education field for 27 years and this will be my 19th year at GMS.  

I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse and my master's degree in Special Education at Northeastern Illinois.

I live in Wheeling with my husband, Eric, and my two boys, Daylan (19) and Austin (16)  Daylan is a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he competes on the UWEC Track and Field Team. Austin is a sophomore at Wheeling High School who is on the Wheeling  Wrestling Team and competes competitively in Jiu Jitsu. I also have an 11 year old pitbull named Buster.

In my freetime, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and cheering my boys on at their sporting events and working out.

As the Special Education Teacher, I will be co-teaching in ELA and Math.  I will also be teaching my own resource math class.  The topics that we will covered in my math are: Rational Numbers, Expressions, Equations, Fractions, Percents, Angles and Circles.
