"The mission of the Hiawatha music program is to create a community of students of good character through dedication to their growth of knowledge and passion for music. Students will positively impact the school and the larger community through service in, and the study of, quality music making."

Hiawatha Music Boosters
The Hiawatha Music Boosters or "HMB" for short are made up of parents of students in the music program and the director, and is a group designed to help provide the best musical opportunities and experiences for our students. It is also meant to create a stronger connection with the community. The boosters typically meet on the last Thursday of every month in the band room to discuss upcoming events, fundraisers, activities, etc. It's a great way to stay informed and share ideas. These meetings are open to any parent of a student in the music program.

About the Director
Hello! This year I have the privilege of teaching 4 different bands across 5th-12th grade.
This is my fourth year at Hiawatha Jr/Sr High School. I received my degree in music education and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University in 2022.
My primary instrument is the clarinet and although I am more of a conductor these days, I still really enjoy playing! Writing music is also something I am passionate about. In my free time you might see me out training as an endurance athlete. I also enjoy a wide variety of video games, writing/performing music, playing tennis, rollerblading, snowboarding, watching hockey, and going to concerts.
This is some insight about me. I am very happy to be working with you again and I am excited to reconnect with all of you this year! Go Hawks!
