Hiawatha Music Boosters

The Hiawatha Music Boosters or "HMB" for short are made up of parents of students in the music program and the director, and is a group designed to help provide the best musical opportunities and experiences for our students. It is also meant to create a stronger connection with the community. The boosters typically meet on the last Thursday of every month in the band room to discuss upcoming events, fundraisers, activities, etc. It's a great way to stay informed and share ideas. These meetings are open to any parent of a student in the music program.

About the Director

Hello! This year I have the privilege of teaching 3 different bands across 5th-12th grade and a Junior High choir made up of 6-8th grade students.

This is my second year at Hiawatha Jr/Sr High School. I received my degree in music education and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University in 2022.

My primary instrument is the clarinet and although I am more of a conductor these days, I still really enjoy playing! Writing music is also something I am passionate about. In my free time you might see me out training as an endurance athlete. I also enjoy playing an assortment of video games, writing/performing music, cooking, and going to concerts.

This is some insight about me. I am very happy to be working with you again and I am excited to reconnect with all of you this year! Go Hawks!
