Chromebooks usually update automatically, but if it hasn't been used in a while, it would be good to check to see if there is an update available. This helps to keep the Chromebook up to date and running smoothly.
To clear your cache and cookies:
Click the 3 dots in the top right corner of your browser.
Click "Settings."
Click "Privacy and Security" then "Clear browsing data."
Choose which data you'd like to clear and your time frame.
Click "Clear Data."
If the 3 dots in the top right corner of the browser have been replaced with a red arrow, click on the red arrow.
Click "Update Chrome."
Click "Relaunch."
Once Chrome relaunches, your Chrome browser will be up to date.
Chromebook batteries should last at least 8 hours, so if you charge your Chromebook every night, and it doesn't last the whole day, you may need a new battery. If your battery isn't charging at all, other things you can try before going to tech support are...
1. Is the cord plugged into the wall and the device the whole way?
2. Do you have a back-up cord? Try it to make sure your cord doesn't need to be replaced.
3. Are you plugged into an outlet that is controlled by a switch that is turned off?

If you know your current password, go to the Password Portal to change your password.
If you don't know your current password, you will need to contact IT for password changes.
