Writing
This year, we will be working on three genres of writing -- personal narrative, informational, and opinion. Through the writing workshop and Team Specialization model, these genres will be taught with increased complexity and foster higher-level thinking. Through daily conferring with the students, their progress will be monitored allowing differentiated instruction through individual and small-group instruction. During the writing mini-lesson, students will be provided with exemplar texts that model writing progressions across the grades.
