MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Cardunals,

It is hard to believe that our first quarter has already come to a close! We are thrilled by the incredible energy our students and staff brought to the start of the school year, and we are excited to carry this positive momentum right into Quarter 2. We are incredibly proud to share that Dundee Middle School earned an "Approaching Exemplary" designation from the Illinois State Board of Education! This recognition reflects the hard work of our staff and students, as well as the strong support of our school community. Looking ahead, we are using our report card data to design second-semester professional development focused on strengthening instruction and expanding student ownership in the classroom. We wrapped up October with an amazing Fall Fest! It was wonderful seeing so many students and staff dressed up and enjoying the festive atmosphere. A huge shoutout and thank you to our fantastic Parent Association for organizing such a memorable event for our school. November is packed with opportunities to celebrate our students' talents and partner together for their academic success. Catch our talented actors in the Fall Play at Hampshire High School! We also look forward to celebrating our musicians during our upcoming Band, Orchestra, and Choir concerts. Our Boys Basketball, Cheer, and Dance teams are in full swing. Be sure to come out and show your support! We look forward to connecting with you during Parent-Teacher Conferences to discuss your student’s growth as we begin the second quarter. While visiting, make sure to stop by our Scholastic Book Fair! Please note that our school will be closed for Fall Break later this month, giving our students and staff a well-deserved time to recharge with family and friends. Thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to making Dundee Middle School such a vibrant learning community.

Sincerely,

Leo LaBrie
