Cardunal Families,

I'm incredibly proud of our DMS family; this sentiment extends to all staff, students, and families.  The losses we experienced during the month of February were devastating and it tested our resolve as a family.  During this time, DMS proved to be a strong, cohesive, and supportive family that was there for each other.  We're also incredibly grateful for the immense support from the District Office, we couldn't have done it without their support.  As we start to heal we are looking for ways to honor Henry and Mr. Bishop.  We will be in communication with the families to make sure we are honoring their wishes as well.  Thank you all again for your support and understanding during this time.

We are officially in quarter 4!  The year is going by quickly and spring is upon us.  We do have a full schedule of IAR testing coming up and then before you know it will be Spring Break.  Each grade level will help students reset during quarter 4 with expectations in order to earn end of the year celebrations.  Communication will be going out soon about those parameters.

We are excited to announce that we will be adding another Dean position for the 2024/25 school year.  Interviews are wrapping up this week and we'll have an announcement out shortly.

The DMS Parent Association will have a dine and share with Portillo's on 1801 S. Randall Rd. on Wednesday March 13 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  You can order online or in the app for pickup using the code PORTILLOS84, 20% of sales will benefit the DMS Parent Association.

There will be an informational Washington D.C. Meeting for the 2025 Spring D.C. trip on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.  The meeting will be held in the DMS cafeteria from 6:30-7:30PM.  This meeting is for both parents and students.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mr. Wicker at donald.wicker@d300.org

Sincerely,

Leo LaBrie
