Despicable Me/Minions ALL
Recommended by MANY
The whole Minions series because it's really funny and is more recommended to kids to entertain them. It's a really good movie I grew up watching with. Also, it has very good action and has very good comedy at the same time all happening at once. -Renz Buagas
Noah Martinez likes it because minions are really cool it has a very good story with el macho and the evil purple minions and gru is very amazing and bald.
Stressed Out by 21 - Pilots
Zosia Tyrka this song. She says, I would listen to all summer before starting 6th grade. I was so stressed out that I almost couldn't take my mind off of 6th grade and middle school. I heard the band 21 - Pilots from a friend that lives nearby. Once I got home I started listening to the band. When the playlist came to the song Stressed Out, it really got me feeling more calm, because I wish I could turn back time to the good old days. I hope this song really expresses how you feel. Have a great day!
Princess Bride
Recommended by Ms. LaGrippe
A bedridden boy's grandfather reads him the story of a farm boy-turned-pirate who encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love.
This movie is quoted over and over by my generation. Westley always says "as you wish" to Buttercup. At one point, he is rolling down a hill yelling "aaasss yoooouu wishhhh" so Buttercup will know it is him. In my class I say "Inn yourrr seeetts," but no one knows it's a Princess Bride reference. During the Covid lockdown, many different actors, on their own or with friends, filmed scenes from the movie for a hilarious recreation.
Dream On by Aerosmith
Recommended by Ms. LaGrippe
This sone was an anthem for my generation and beyond. Everyone should know how to sing along.
Shrek
Caleb Haase suggested Shrek because it is a really good movie because Shrek is really cool and funny and he is my favorite character. Shrek is a rizzler. He is a cool and amazing character. The movie is a fun family friendly movie and it is really funny.
Crystals PRISSVX
Its a instrumental electric song recommended by Jonny Reyes
Return to Oz
Recommended by Mrs. Lichtenberg
This movie was intended to be a "sequel" to "The Wizard of Oz." However, it shows a young Dorothy having to adjust back from her time in OZ and no one believes she went there. So they send her to a place to help "fix" her, but she escapes and ends up back in Oz. However, it has been taken over by the Gnome King. Dorothy meets some new friends along the way to save her "old" friends.
I LOVED the "Wizard of Oz" growing up, so naturally I liked this movie too. I recently showed it to my own children and, surprisingly, they like it!
Barbara Ann by The Beach Boys
Recommended by Dr. Wilson
I remember going to the orthodontist on Saturday mornings with my siblings. Three of us had braces. We would pile into the huge van (I have 7 people in my family so we drove the large vans) and sing to the Beach Boys all the way there and back home. We would literally scream the song "Barbara Ann" so loud. We made those appointments fun.
I'm not sure what you are looking for here. I have taught for 22 years (21 of them at DMS). I have my doctorate in Educational Leadership. I teach special education and love my students. I have one son in 7th grade and toy poodle named Lego.
Suggested by Parker Calvery. Super Mario Odyssey is a great game because of the loads of gameplay packed into it. Mario is accompanied by Cappy. If Mario throws Cappy onto an enemy, Mario will capture the enemy, letting him control the enemy, Introducing the player to more movement options and places. It"s really fun and has challenges that are optional like the "Our Journey's end" moon, where you have to beat the Darker Side of the Moon's big challenge. If the main story is too challenging, you can turn Assist mode, which makes the game easier. They also have a 2 player mode, so you and your friend can play as Mario and Cappy. There are a BUNCH of glitches which can help, but most of them are just for fun.
Welcome to the decrepit Woodmoor Manor…where something in the woods is always watching. From the author of Scritch Scratch comes a chilling middle grade story about a creepy mansion and sinister creatures in the woods.
Recommended by Emily Estrada because its a really good book and its very entertaining to read.
