Excessive unexcused tardies or absences prior to Prom may result in a meeting with your dean and possibly having your prom attendance revoked. To ensure that this does not happen, make sure that you attend every class and arrive on time!
All disciplinary consequences must be served prior to April 17.
Any violations of the D300 Code of Conduct between now and April 25 will be reviewed by the school’s administrative team; your ability to participate in Prom may be revoked due to Code of Conduct violations. Participation in prom activities will be determined on an individual basis.
All students and guests attending prom must take the bus transportation provided to and from the venue. Students will not be permitted to leave the venue by getting picked up or by having a vehicle left for them at the venue. In addition to this, should a student miss the bus due to late arrival at JHS, they will not be permitted into prom.
Dress appropriately for the occasion. No jeans will be permitted. This is a formal dance and the expectation is that attire should reflect a formal occasion.
All school rules apply at prom.
If any student is found to be under the influence or in possession of alcohol or drugs, appropriate actions will be taken by the administrators and law enforcement at the dance.
Bags will be searched before students depart on the buses.
All ticket sales are final! If any of the above expectations are not met, you can be excluded from Prom with no ticket refund.
Forms for inviting an outside guest and Jacobs 9th or 10th-grade students must be completed and turned into the dean’s office by Friday, April 10th. If the signatures on the form are discovered to be forged, students may lose the opportunity to attend Prom. All guests must abide by school rules.
