When you order an adopt from me the adopt will be front and center, with an ID number off to the side! When the images are sent to you, you will receive two copies- one with an ID, one without, as well as a list of the adopts customization- its colors, patterns, and modifiers!
If you are ever having trouble with drawing an adopt, feel free to contact me! I can show you the different layers of your adopt and show you how they interact to make its patterns- to help you replicate it on your own!
The ID of the adopt is the order in when it was made, this helps me find it if you ever need it recovered AND lets you know how old it is compared to others!
As well as being its creation ID, this number is also the colors of the adopt! This can help in drawing them, since some patterns may interfere with how the colors appear on the adopt itself.
To see what patterns each adopt type has, each species will have a google sheet showing their patterns and modifiers, and there is a sheet with every available color!
Aside from customs, there are also Uniques. Uniques are adopts that are usually made in batches for events, but are sometimes available for order. I also make Uniques for specific people, a.k.a my friends and favorite people!
Uniques don't follow the rules, they can look like anything. They are not restricted to the patterns, but CAN use the patterns if it is so desired!
Besides the regular adopts ID's, there are unique marks they can have! Both Customs and Mix result adopts have a mark, which is somewhere on the image in black. Unlike the ID, the mark is on all pictures!
The mark can be removed, if you do not like how it looks!
This is the most advanced feature of my adopts! Similar to pet-sites, all my adopts are fully mixable- meaning if you have two of them you can put them together to make another with a combination of their traits and patterns! It's incredibly complicated, with each adopt species having its own genetic line that determines how they mix. Every adopt has its own genes, which determine how the patterns show! These are not obvious, but each adopt will have its FILE be named its genetics. If that is not possible for the method of transferring the image, its data will be listed alongside it with the rest of its data
Adopt genetics look something like this: 1-113355-84-11-1-11-237-11-147-0. The first number is the ID, and the large section of numbers marked in red is the modifier and quaternary color number! The sets of two numbers marked in orange-green, are gene sets. Each number corresponds with a letter! The last number marked in black is the MARK. This number determines if the adopt is random, custom, a mix, or a unique
This is the complicated part. Patterns have 2 genes- as shown here (AA). Depending on if its Dominant- Common(AA), Subdominant- Uncommon(Aa), or Recessive- Rare(aa), that'll determine how the pattern displays! a pattern must have a certain combination of genes to show, but each individual pattern has its own letter.
The first letter in the gene is what shows ex: AC. This gene shows A, but carries C. IF you mix a AC with a CC, the result could either be a AC or a CC- Which results in gene lineages that can pass down certain hidden traits! Dominant traits always show above recessive traits, and are put before them. As well as the mothers traits being dominant! Make sure that the adopt you chose as the mother is the one you want to see the most patterns from!
Seasonals are the only exception to this rule, seasonals CANNOT be produced by mixing, only through random chance
To have your adopts mixed, simply shoot me a message with the two adopts you want to mix (and their gene codes IF the file does not have them attached), and I'll mix them for you! there is no cost for doing so, since the options available when mixing are not infinite like generating!
