This is a Varsity and Frosh/Soph level meet. Teams may bring up to 8 total athletes (4 Varsity, 4 Frosh/Soph)
Only Frosh/Soph athletes are allowed to compete at the Frosh/Soph level (max 4 competitors)
Frosh-Senior athletes are allowed at the Varsity level (max 4 competitors)
You may not throw the same athlete at both the Frosh/Soph and Varsity levels.
Individual placing only (This will NOT be a team meet). Places will be given for 1-9.
Coaches should enter marks into Athletic.net. If an athlete does not yet have a mark we ask that coaches enter an estimated mark that you believe honestly reflects the athlete’s ability for accurate seeding.
We are hosting the event on a wood gym surface, so all participating schools must agree to use the shot puts that will be provided by Grayslake Central at the competition. ALL TEAMS WILL USE THE SAME SHOTS. We will be providing an assortment of different soft shell shots at each ring that will not damage our floors.
Team camps may be set up in the Small Gym, located directly East of the Big Gym. Team Camps should NOT be set up in the Big Gym
Concessions will be open outside of the gym. Coaches hospitality will be provided.
Spectators are allowed free of charge. To ensure safety, spectators should remain outside of the competition area.
We will have an IHSA Official present and will be using laser measuring systems at each ring. We will have workers to run each ring, however it is possible that we may need some experienced coaches to help mark for 1 or 2 flights. If this occurs we will do our best to assign coaches to a flight where they do not have any/few athletes competing.
A short awards presentation will take place at the conclusion of BOTH the Frosh/Soph and Varsity Competition
The top 3 athletes at both levels will earn a plaque
Each athlete in the Finals at both levels will earn a t-shirt
Every athlete in the competition will receive a sticker
Results will be posted to athletic.net
