Quinn is entering his sixth year as Head Coach of Bolts Track & Field. He was an assistant coach for the track program for two seasons prior to becoming Head Coach, coaching sprints and relays. In addition to coaching track, he's the Varsity Quarterbacks Coach for the Andrew Football program. Before joining the Bolts, Coach Holler was part of the track and football staff at Plainfield North High School. He was part of the track coaching staff in 2018 when PN broke the IHSA State 4x1 Relay record and won a 3rd place team trophy. He graduated from Aurora University with a degree in Secondary Education- Biology and has a Master's Degree from Concordia University. Coach Holler currently teaches in the Science Department here at VJA.
Brandon is entering his eleventh year coaching for Bolts Track & Field. He's also the Assistant Girl's Golf coach at VJA and formally the Head Freshmen Boys Basketball coach. A 2011 graduate of Andrew High School, he played golf, basketball, and ran track. He earned his Bachelor's in Secondary Education- History from Saint Xavier University, where he was also a member of the basketball team. He currently teaches in the Social Studies Department here at VJA.
Paul is entering his seventh year coaching for Bolts Track & Field. He's coached football and track his entire 35-year teaching career, all in District 230. Coach Garbrecht coached Jonathan Young to a state championship in the 3A Discus in 2022. He's been a Social Studies Teacher, Media Specialist, Student Council Director, Facilitator of the School Newspaper, and sponsor of a multicultural organization named VOICES. Coach Garbrecht currently teaches as a Media Specialist at VJA.
Josh is entering his sixth year of coaching Bolts Track and Field. He was an All-State track athlete in the 4x800, 4x200, and twice in the 4x400 at Belleville West HS. After HS, Josh attended St. Louis University for his Bachelor's degree and was on the track team all four years. He is currently in the process of receiving his Master's degree and P.E. teaching certificate from Concordia University. He currently works as a PE teacher at Meadowview Intermediate School in Country Club Hills.
Josh is entering his third year of coaching Bolts Track. Previously, he served as an Assistant Boys Basketball and Track & Field coach at Carl Sandburg High School. Josh is also an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at VJA. He is a 2021 graduate of Saint Xavier University, where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball Team and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - Management. He currently teaches Business Education here at VJA.
Shawn is entering his third year of coaching Bolts Track. His coaching experience started when he was 19 years old and coached youth tackle football and this later continued with coaching baseball, flag football and tackle football. For the past 8 seasons, he has been the statistician and quality control coach for the Varsity Andrew Football program. The past two summers he has helped Coach Holler with Summer Speed Camp. And this past fall was his first year as an Assistant Freshman Football coach. He is a Tinley resident and has his own Woodworking business.
Jamari is entering his first year coaching Bolts Track at VJA. He is a VJA alum who participated in track & field, basketball, and football, and graduated in 2020. Jamari currently serves as an Educational Support Professional (ESP) at VJA. He also serves as a mentor for inner-city youth, and is a strong advocate for positive mental health and healthy habits. He is pursuing a degree in English with the goal of teaching in special education services.
Aidan is entering his first year volunteer coaching track and field at Andrew High School. He is still currently enrolled at Illinois State University, and is student teaching this semester in the Social Studies department with an anticipated graduation in May. Prior to coaching and teaching, he competed at the high school level in cross country and distance track for Amos Alonzo Stagg High School, where he earned all conference honors in the 4x800 meter relay in 2022. He was also the team MVP in 2022, and is one of fifteen Stagg track athletes to eclipse the 100 career point total mark.
