Currently in her senior year, Ally Grecek has been writing for the Aquila for about 3 years. What she loves most about the Aquila is being able to discuss and come up with ideas to write about, and a notable work of hers is "Netflix shows to binge watch" which can be found under entertainment.
In her third year writing for the newspaper, Bella is currently a junior and Design Editor of the Aquila. Her favorite section to write for is features, but also enjoys writing editorials and commentary. One of her most notable works is her "All-In Attendance" article, published in the fall of 2019. Bella says her favorite part of being in the Aquila is the opportunity to be creative.
Mina is currently a senior, and says her favorite part of being in the Aquila is the freedom that comes with being able to write about her interests. Currently in her first year writing for the Aquila, Mina says her favorite sections to write for are sports and entertainment.
Having joined the Aquila as a freshman, this is sophmore Matt Gaspardo's second year writing for the Aquila. His favorite part about being in the Aquila is being able to learn about the different things that happen around Sandburg that he would otherwise never learn about, and his favorite section to write for is sports.
Currently a junior, this is Renna's second year writing for the Aquila. What she loves most about the Aquila is that it gives her freedom and opportunity to write about almost anything. Currently a Co-Editor in Chief, her favorite sections to write for are features and editorials/commentary. A notable work of hers is "D230 Teacher Pipeline Offers Education Career Learning" published fall of 2019.
Alex Koscielski is currently a Junior at Carl Sandburg and this is his second year on the Aquila team. His favorite part about writing for the Aquila is being able to express his thoughts and opinions on updates in the school. He is a Co-Editor in Chief and his favorite section to write for is News/Features. A notable work of his is "Overcoming the 3 C's: Achieving the 3 R's to recycle."
