When and where is the festival taking place?
The 2026 New York Voices Jazz Festival will take place at Niles North High School in Skokie, IL, on Saturday March 7, 2026.
Where is Niles North High School?
The school is located just off of I-94, off of the Old Orchard Road exit, and across the street from Westfield Old Orchard. There are many dining and shopping options at Old Orchard (and also within the general vicinity). Everybody should enter through door 2 (adjacent to the main parking lot). Buses can park in the lot for the day.Â
How much does it cost?
Festival registration costs $600 per vocal ensemble. Tickets for the evening concert will go on sale at a later date. For participants (singers, instrumentalists, and directors), these tickets will cost $15.
What does the festival include?
Each participating ensemble will perform onstage in the Auditorium, and then go to the clinic room to work with one of the members of the New York Voices. All groups have a 25 minute warmup, 25 minutes of onstage time, and a 25 minute clinic.
Do schools need to bring their own sound equipment/rhythm section instruments?
Niles North High School will provide microphones for the onstage performance for all vocalists. We will also supply a drum set, bass/guitar amps, and a piano. Microphones and a rhythm section setup will also be available in the clinic room. The warmup room will have a rhythm section setup as well. We may be able to accommodate non-traditional rhythm sectional requests as well with advance notice.
Is there an evening concert?
Yes! The New York Voices will perform a concert in the evening at 7:30 pm.
