Canadian Rockies 2010 - These pictures are from a 10 day trip through the Canadian Rockies. I started on Vancouver Island and then made my way through British Columbia and into Alberta. The parks that I visited include Mt Robson Provincial Park, Wells Gray Provincial Park, Banff National Park, and Jasper National Park. This part of the world is absolutely stunning and I hope to make it back there someday!
Chicago Wilderness - This is a small compilation of pictures from various preserves and parks in the Chicagoland area as well as some field trips that I have taken with students to local Cook County Forest Preserves.
Road Trip 2009 - These pictures are from a 2 week road trip from Illinois to Canada. Along the way, I stopped at Theodore Roosevelt National Park and a National Wildlife Refuge in North Dakota (the name escapes me at the moment), Glacier National Park and Lewis & Clark Caverns in Montana, Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, and Crazy Horse Memorial in South Dakota. In my opinion, this was a classic "American Road Trip" that I still remember to this day!
Spring - These pictures have been taken over many different springs and include scenes from Forest Preserves and the Morton Arboretum
Summer - These pictures have been taken over many different summers over the years and include scenes from Forest Preserves, the Morton Arboretum, Illinois Beach State Park, and various prairies in the Chicagoland area.
Washington State - The Pacific Northwest is easily my favorite vacation spot in the United States. These pictures are from two separate trips to Washington that included stops in Mt. Rainier National Park, Olympic National Park, Mt. St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, and the San Juan Islands.
