Modern Music Masters (Tri-M) is a Music Honor Society for high school music students that fulfill the following criteria:
Music Participation
Candidates must have been enrolled in a music class for at least one year and must remain in good standing in their ensemble. The ensemble conductor must give approval.
Academic Achievement
Candidates must have maintained for the previous year an A average grade or equivalent in music, with at least a B average grade or equivalent in other academic subjects.
Leadership
School or community activities that students are actively involved in considered. Leadership roles in both school and community may also be considered as long as they can be verified.
Service
Similar to leadership, service activities include any actions undertaken by the student that are done with or on behalf of others without any direct financial or material compensation to the individual performing the service.
Character
Judgment of character should be free of speculation and rumor for all Tri-M members. A person who demonstrates respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring, and citizenship is a welcome member of Tri-M.

Whether you were elected into office by your peers or appointed by the Advisor, we will follow these officer guidelines* for a successful year! It will be helpful to read Robert’s Rules of Order on how to properly run a meeting.
PRESIDENT
Presides over meetings of the Chapter
Prepares an agenda for the meetings
Representative and spokesperson of the Chapter, on and off campus
Facilitates formation of chapter goals
Completes an annual Chapter Summary Report
Provides motivation and encouragement to fellow officers and members
VICE PRESIDENT
Publicizes meeting and chapter activities
Schedules guest speakers with assistance from other chapter officers
Educates new members on the history of Tri-M®
Helps organize the induction ceremony
Secondary representative of the Chapter, on and off campus
SECRETARY
Records the chapter minutes
Handles correspondence for the chapter, including thank you letters and interactions with other Tri-M chapters
Reports chapter activities for the Chapter Summary Report
TREASURER
Maintains membership records
Prepares a chapter roster
Maintains the chapter’s financial records
HISTORIAN
Teaches Tri-M Loyalty Song :-)
Keeps record of chapter activities
