Cap & Gown Payment

The cost of your cap, gown and tassel is $40 and is ordered through My School Bucks account. Please check your MySchoolBucks account ONLINE not the app for your full purchase history to avoid ordering doubles.

2027 TICKETS, Cap & Gown Distribution

Everything will be distributed to seniors during cap and gown pick up during the seniors last week of school.

1. All obligations to the school must be cleared before we issue the cap/gown and tickets.  This includes any outstanding fees, iPad payments,  detentions, uniforms for athletics or activities, and summer school signup for July/August graduates. All fees are posted in the MySchoolBucks App. 

2. We suggest taking your gown out of the packaging when home and hanging it up or steaming it to remove creases prior to graduation day.

3. Each student will be given 8 tickets for graduation with their cap and gown regalia during cap and gown distribution.   The ticket limit is meant to keep attendance at a NOW Arena at a reasonable level.  We do realize that some family situations may require more than 8 tickets.  In order to alleviate anxiety around this significant occasion in your child’s life, be aware additional tickets may be requested from administration if needed.   If your family is in need of additional graduation tickets, please contact Ashley Volgi  at AJVolgi@d211.org to request additional tickets.

Graduation Ordering FAQs: Cap and Gown Measurements were submitted in February.

• If you have more than one senior graduating you must complete the cap & gown ordering process for each child.  

• The cap, gown and tassel unit is the only item you must order to participate in the graduation ceremony.

• The fee on the Jostens ordering site shows $0 because you must pay for the cap & gown through your My School Bucks account at Palatine High School. 

• If your family qualifies for free/reduced lunch, only your student’s cap & gown fees will be waived.  Any additional Jostens purchases will not be waived and must be paid for by your family! 

• To verify if you’ve paid check your myschoolbucks account ONLINE NOT THE APP or please call the school and ask to speak with the cashier at PHS. Contact Information: Ms. Wolter (847-755-1600)

• If you missed submitting your cap and gown measurements there will be extra caps and gowns distributed by Jostens directley on graduation day (sizes can not be confirmed).

2027 SEnior Exemptions and Final Exams

1. 1. Students who have met their senior requirements may be exempt from their final exams this semester. Students should check in with each of their teachers specifically if they are unsure.

   2. Seniors who are required to take a final exam(s), must attend school during finals week May 18th-20th
