Band provides a unique opportunity for students to develop leadership skills both in the field and behind the scenes.  Our leadership structure is set up to maximize the efficiency of not just rehearsals and performances, but governance of our program.  In order for our marching band, concert ensembles, and general band program to be successful, it must have strong leaders in all areas.  These positions are open to all returning band students with at least one year of experience.  

Students wishing to take a leadership position must be willing to work for the band and should already be exhibiting the qualities of a leader. Therefore, the CLS band has an application and interview process that takes place each spring for the following year.
