The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is administered annually at Grayslake Central High School to all juniors.  This year’s exam date will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

The College Board is transitioning to a fully digital version of the PSAT/NMSQT, so we will be providing updated information as it becomes available.  Students will be testing on their GCHS-issued Chromebooks at GCHS during the regularly scheduled school day on 10/17.  They will not need to register, pay, or worry about alternative transportation.

The College Board has shared some test preparation resources already, and students will gain access to the Bluebook app on their Chromebooks in September.   Beyond that, students will only need to arrive ready to test with a fully charged Chromebook and power cord.  Students may still use their own calculators, but there is a fully functional graphing calculator within the testing application.
