Summer Pre-Learning Suggestions

Books can provide some context and historical significance of the content in a relaxing way that will be beneficial throughout the course. 

If you enjoy gaming on your various devices, consider trying one or more of these chemistry-related games to learn a bit while you play.

Throughout the year, you will be using basic algebra skills to convert between units, rearrange equations, and solve for unknowns.   Brushing up on these skills could prove helpful as we apply them to the science content.

Every day in chemistry you will be asked to reference the periodic table of the elements for information.  Getting familiar with the periodic table and it's vast trove of information will build your confidence and save you time in the future.

You, as the student, will have the responsibility for designing, conducting, and reporting on most of the lab investigations during the year.  Having a strong foundation with the experimental design process will add to the success and enjoyment of these experiences.
