District 127 is implementing the following long term goals and priorities, guided by the District Improvement Team
1A. We will ensure equity in access to programs and resources
1B. We will implement relevant, engaging, and authentic classroom practices that foster creative problem solving
1C. We will increase academic support for all students
2A. We will develop a curricular framework for social-emotional learning
2B. We will support all students’ social/emotional needs with appropriate interventions and mental health assistance
3A. We will strengthen and expand parental involvement
3B. We will build community partnerships that will supplement student and school learning experiences
3C. We will establish consistent communication for employees and all stakeholders utilizing a variety of platforms
3D. We will expand professional networking opportunities with outside organizations and school districts
4A. We will maintain the fiscal responsibility of the school district
4B. We will create a facilities master plan to re-examine learning spaces at both schools to meet the needs of students and staff
4C. We will attract, develop and retain highly qualified staff
4D. We will sustain multimodal, research-based professional development to support the attainment of individual and organizational goals
We know that this plan is ambitious. We know the goals we have set will require the combined efforts of our parents, students, staff, and community.
