Career and Technical Education (CTE)

Business Education, Family Consumer Science, and Technical Education work as a unified elective area, called Career and Technical Education (CTE) or Applied Arts.  These three departments not only provide students with the skills necessary to be college AND career ready, but they also should be aligned with your identified career pathway.  These courses help you narrow down your likes and dislikes as you begin to make post-secondary choices.  All  courses in this area fulfill the one-half Applied  Arts credit for graduation.
