Update: March 16, 2020
Mundelein High School was scheduled for 4 eLearning days (3/18, 3/19, 3/20, and 3/30). Originally, Monday and Tuesday, March 16th and 17th were scheduled as emergency days that had to be made up at the end of the school year. Wednesday, March 18-Friday March 20th and March 30th were scheduled as eLearning days. Elearning days are considered instructional school days that do not have to be made up at the end of the year. Recently, the IL Governor issued mandatory school closure dates beginning March 17 to reopen on March 31. These days are considered Act of God days, which do not count as actual school days and do not have to be made up at a later time.
Mundelein High School is committed to the well-being and growth of our students. Therefore, we would like to continue to provide our students with meaningful academic experiences so they do not have any type of disruption to their education. According to the IL State Board of Education, no official grades for student work can be issued during these Act of God days. Even though grades will not be issued for work assigned on eLearning days, teachers may continue to email assignments to students and to provide feedback during our school closure.
We encourage families to do their best to encourage students to complete the work sent by their teachers via email in an effort to prevent any disruption to their education during this time.
