Barbara was born in 1952, making her 67 years old. There is very little history on her and her family. Barbara moved to Ashsea Port when she was about 19 years old. Her first job was at a small convenience store, later starting at the bank with a couple of other people. She started right around the time the town began to get busy, as the current bankers were looking for more help due to the bank picked up more business. Eventually she took over the bank by herself in the early eighties as most of the business had died out. With being the only one working, she took home a nice paycheck, with some other townsmen wondering if the paycheck for a small bank was too nice.
Barbara has enjoyed countless decades of wealth from the bank. But at what cost? Barbara understands that in this world everything has a cost, but she's not sure what her cost will be. She lies awake at night scared, jumping at any sound in the night. The trees tapping her windows, the floorboards creaking, and especially the noises from the attic.
All tension comes to a crash one stormy night. Once the sun rises the next morning, Ms. Powell is nowhere to be seen. The bank left temporarily closed until they can find a sub in for the missing banker. The basement vault remains locked with almost no hope of opening it without the return of Ms. Powell.
