In order to receive high school credit, students must fall into one of these categories:
CTE Work Based Learning
The student has taken a CTE course.
The student is working in a job that is aligned with their post-secondary plan.
The student must complete this form and their parent must approve it via an email link.
The student has completed 60 hours of work in order to receive 1 credit, or 120 hours of work for 2 credits. (The student has proof via work hours or an letter from their supervisor.)
The student has completed a written reflection of their work experience.
Non-CTE Work Based Learning
The student has not taken a CTE course.
The student is working in a job that is aligned with their post-secondary plan.
The student has completed 60 hours of work in order to receive 1 credit, or 120 hours of work for 2 credits. (The student has proof via work hours or an letter from their supervisor.)
The student has completed a written reflection of their work experience.
Work Study/Service Learning (Only for the 24-25 school year):
The student is working in a job that is contributing to their post-secondary plan.
The student has completed 135 hours of work in order to receive 1 credit, or 270 hours of work for 2 credits. (The student has proof via work hours or an letter from their supervisor.)
The student has completed a written reflection of their work experience.
