The goal of school social work is to support students' social and emotional development using skill-based interventions in order to increase appropriate functional performance specific to the classroom setting. School social workers act as advocates to help children remove barriers to academic achievement, such as mental health challenges, emotional dysregulation, social skill deficits, and behavior. School social workers help students acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary for them to reach their academic potential through:
Building wide interventions, lessons and activities
Whole class SEL lessons

I am excited for my 7th year at Seventh Avenue! Time has flown by being apart of this amazing community. It is an honor to get to work with you and your children each day!
I got married last July and have been enjoying married life with my husband. We enjoy exploring Chicago, playing games, spending time with friends and family and relaxing at the lake!
