Students may check books out from the LLC before and after school at the self check-out station. They may also come during the school day with teacher permission.
Students can put books on hold using Destiny Discover. As soon as they are available, books will be delivered to students' ELA classrooms.
Students may have a maximum of 3 books checked out at a time, and the checkout period is 15 school days. Books can be renewed prior to the due dates, and due dates can be checked, in students' Destiny Discover accounts.
If students have late or lost books, they will not be able to check out new ones until the late ones are returned.
If books are lost or damaged beyond the librarian's ability to repair it, there is a replacement fine of $20 per book. No new books can be checked out until fines are satisfied.
Library books can be returned on carts located at the top and bottom of the Main Staircase as well as to the LLC.

The 2025-2026 school year will be Ms. Fumarolo's 15th year of teaching and her 8th year at McClure. She went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her Bachelors Degree (English, Secondary School Teaching) and a Masters Degree (Library & Information Science), and she later attended Purdue University for a second Masters Degree (Learning Design and Technology). In 2021, she became a National Board Certified Teacher in Library Media, K-12. In addition to being McClure's librarian, she is also the yearbook advisor, fall play director, and runs the practically famous @mcclure.llc Instagram account. She has a 6 year old rescue dog named Luna who you will probably hear her talk about a lot, and she does not have a favorite book - she has hundreds!
