R: Data Science in Psychology
I created a working "short course" (or collection of guides) in using the R programming language for data analysis and graphics. This resource is geared toward undergraduate and graduate students in psychology at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), and serves as an attachment for several of my courses covering statistics and research design. I developed this resource to address questions and dilemmas that both newer and seasoned scholars often encounter when managing and analyzing datasets.
Students will become familiar with R/RStudio and its basic operations, and learn how to tidy and transform data, create professional data visualizations, construct and draw inferences from statistical models (e.g., t-tests, ANOVAs, linear mixed models, confirmatory factor analysis), and disseminate their results using tools for open and reproducible science. It is not yet complete and will be updated periodically.
