Appraisal of Work Conditions and Worker Well-being
This study will help identify common hindrance stressors from the perspective of healthcare and human service professionals and will inform the focus for future intervention studies that aim to reduce job-related burnout. The overall purpose of the study is to gain insight into the work-related stressors that hinder the flow of work and cause unnecessary psychological and physiological strain. Current students assisting with this project: Ailyn Sanchez Corral, Grace Werner, and Luke Pederson.
Burnout
A Self-Care Intervention to Reduce Burnout Among ABA Practitioners
This project will evaluate self-care as an intervention to reduce burnout among ABA practitioners, as this topic is of high interest among behavior analysts working in human service settings. This project seeks to extend findings by Slowiak and DeLongchamp (2021).

Chronic Invisible/Episodic Illnesses and Disabilities & Worker Wellbeing
Dr. Slowiak is interested in exploring organizational factors that influence worker wellbeing and sustained employment for those who live and work with chronic health conditions, particularly health conditions that are invisible and episodic in nature.
Sport Injury Rehabilitation
Return to Sport Through ACTion: A Single-Session Intervention
The objective of this research will be to evaluate the initial efficacy of a single ACT Training session targeting rehabilitation protocol adherence and behavior change for injured college student athletes.
