Class Information

PE Day for Class 13 is on a Tuesday: please ensure pupils wear appropriate kit in to school every week (shorts/ jogging bottoms, trainers and a t-shirt with a warm jumper for the winter weather).
Reading books: Please aim to read with your child for at least 10 minutes every day and leave a note in their reading record. As soon as they complete their book they can change it in school. Please let me know if you want any further help with reading at home!
Water bottles: please label and send in every day. Only water will be allowed in class.
Snack: we are a healthy school so healthy snacks only please.
Jumpers: Often prone to going missing, please label these clearly so we can find and return them when they get lost!
Homework : In year 5 our homework is project based. This is an exciting opportunity for pupils to develop greater independence and to work towards a final goal throughout the term. Clearly seeing how all the small step help to create an amazing final piece. Spelling and Maths homework is given weekly often in the form of online activities. Homework will be accessed through our Google Classroom.

Shwmae, Mrs Collier ydw i.

I will be working in Class 13 Monday - Wednesday.

This is my 10th year teaching at Cyfarthfa Park Primary School and it is truly a wonderful place to work. It is lovely to teach such kind, unique and hard working pupils.

I am extremely excited to be teaching in year 5 again year.

I adore seeing other people achieve great things and doing more than they thought they could. It is one of the reasons I became a teacher.

My favourite subjects to teach are Drama, English, RE and PE. I love all things that are active, creative and imaginative and have a real passion for reading and exploring the great outdoors.

Outside of school I love spending time with my family and friends. I have two children and they are simply magic! We love exploring and going for long walks together as a family.
