CHS is proud to announce that Mrs. Christy Johnson has been awarded the ACTE Graduate Fellowship Award! Fellowships are provided to graduate students who would become future leaders in the FCS education profession. The candidates are rated on several criteria:
The likelihood of completing a graduate degree.
The likelihood of contributing to family and consumer sciences education at secondary level and/or at the university level in a teacher education program.
Previous academic work
Professional association involvement and leadership
Professional experience including scholarly work (doctoral candidates)

Mrs. Johnson is the Family and Consumer Science Educator, ProStart Instructor, Certified Secondary Foodservice Educator, and the local FCCLA Advisor at Clearwater High School. She is very involved in her professional organizations, performing leadership roles, and continues to train and educate others in the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE). Mrs. Johnson is currently seeking her Master’s Degree in Education and is a great instructor who motivates and encourages her students to perform their best!
