Juniors can begin applying for a weeklong summer leader seminar held at West Point. There are two sessions, one from June 1-7 and another June 8-14. The seminar teaches students leadership skills, introduces them to STEM opportunities, and shows what life at the Academy is like. It's ideal for students considering applying for any of the Academies but also great for students "on the fence" to earn a resume bullet they can use for other college apps.
The program is merit based, West Point is looking for students with Scholar-Athlete-Leader accomplishments and potential. There's no application fee, but if selected the actual program costs $625 (excluding flights). Generous need-based funding options are available to assist.
