Ted Milks: I am the Team Assistant. I am thrilled to be a part of this great group of teachers and students and look forward very much to getting to know and support all your sons and daughters. After a brief exploration of becoming a teacher back in the mid-90’s, my career opportunities led down other paths. But I have always hoped the day would come when the time was right for me to become part of a school community and help students reach their potential. I am the father of two wonderful daughters, Sylvie and Georgia, and the husband of an amazing wife and teacher, Cris Milks, who is a math teacher at WCS. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know all of you and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Michael Wayman is the general para educator for Oak House. This is his third year as a para educator at WCS. He started working in the Williston schools as a part-time lunch and recess aide when his oldest son was at ABS. He grew up in New Jersey and has a BA in sociology from Rowan University. He completed all the coursework for a post baccalaureate teaching certificate from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia, but being a Navy spouse meant moving to the next duty station before student teaching could be complete. While his wife served in the Navy, he worked as a substitute teacher, obtained a Sommelier certification and worked as a wine distributor, and earned a certificate in Sustainable Building and Design from the Yestermorrow School. He lives in Williston with his wife, two sons, a dog, and several chickens. In his free time he enjoys traveling with his family, camping, fishing, and gardening.
