Adam Giles

I'm so excited to be working with you and your families! This is my fifth year at Shelburne and I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful community. I taught fifth and sixth grade in St. Albans, at the Town School, for the previous six years. I student taught fourth grade in Williston and am happy to be working with fourth graders again.

I have a five year old son, Aidan and I love spending time hiking, biking, playing legos and playing sports with him. We also love to read and watch funny videos. Aidan makes me laugh every day with his great sense of humor. He loves army soldiers and vehicles. He also enjoys helping me mow the lawn and riding his John Deere Tractor around the yard.

I enjoy working out, running, playing basketball, mountain biking, spending time with family, reading, eating, and, of course, teaching!

I strive to create a learning environment where every child is respect, valued, and safe. These all allow children to take risks and learn. Each child brings amazing things to our team and I want them to feel comfortable and confident sharing them.

Natalie and I work together to build a team community where students interact on a regular basis. They regularly discuss issues that are prevalent in their own lives, and in our greater community, such as bullying, homelessness, poverty, disabilities, and then what we can do to make sure that everyone is treated fairly.

Please don't ever hesitate to contact me with questions.

I am sure that we will have a great year together!
