JumpRope is our standards-based gradebook. Students and families will get log-in information soon and be able to check scores and missing work.
Here is a FAQ page from JumpRope explaining the parent portal.
All Sterling Students have a google classroom account. Sterling teachers post announcements, schedules and assignments using google classroom.
Students turn in and submit work through google classroom as well.
Please note: All assignments that have a due date need to be turned in by your student. If the student does the work, but does not click the "Turn In" button, the assignment will show as missing.
Parents get summaries that are automatically generated by google classroom as well. This is a great way to see what is going on in Sterling classes. Parent emails are entered by the CORE teacher. All registered emails have been entered, but if you haven't received a summary yet, please reach out to your child's CORE teacher.
While we use google classroom to deliver and collect assignments, we do not currently use it as our gradebook. So in your guardian summary you may see missing assignments listed as a result. Don't worry! Missing assignments are only really missing if they appear as such in Jumprope.
All 5th Grade Sterling Students this year have a spelling binder. These were handed out during the second week of school. Each spelling lesson is 6 pages long. Students have spelling class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Spelling is assigned on Tuesday and due the following Tuesday.
Spelling binders travel to and from school because it may take students longer than the allotted spelling time to complete the weekly lesson.
