Day 1

My site and conditions of the river.

Day 1 PH level was at 7.5 on the scale, the temperature of the water was 71.5 degrees fahrenheit, the conductivity was 432. I noticed today that the water was very murky and there was tons of sediment all around, where the river goes into the culvert under the road completely washed out last week from the 6 inches of rain Charlotte got, you can see how destroyed and bare the banks are from the flooding, the area was almost completely rebuilt so the banks and surrounding area are very new and they don't have a lot of vegetation on either side. The conditions of the banks and other areas near the stream were poor but further down the banks seem to have a good amount of vegetation and are in great condition. The water flow was steady and the river seemed almost to the maximum capacity of water. getting the Ecoli sample was easy and had no problems with that.
