Meet Mrs. Grey!

Hello CCS families! My name is Tasha Grey and I am so happy to be a part of the CCS community! I am originally from New York, but have called Vermont home for 15 years. My first five years as a CCS teacher were upstairs in 6th grade, but I am thrilled to be part of the 4th grade team for a third year.

A little about me:

I live in Burlington with my husband Jamie, stepson Rowan, daughter Evelyn, son Desmond and wonderful dog Tucker. I love to garden and play outside, read as much as I can and create delicious food of all types.

Teaching Philosophy:

I strive to create a classroom community in which all students feel a strong sense of belonging and are able to cultivate a love of learning. Through honoring the diversity in experience, learning style, and current ability that every classroom contains, I encourage students to build on skills and understandings from their unique starting points, striving to connect personal experience and interests to their learning. Working as a team with students' families helps me best understand students' needs and celebrate students' growth.
