Meet Mr. Pierson
I’m excited to be part of the amazing fourth grade team again this year! I serve as the special educator for both third and fourth grade students, and this marks my 17th year at Charlotte Central School. I love getting to know all of the students and can often be found in both classrooms, supporting learners across all academic areas.
I grew up in Shelburne and graduated from CVU, so working in this community has been especially meaningful and fun. I attended Endicott College in Massachusetts, but it didn’t take long for me to realize how special Vermont is and that I belong here. I attended the University of Vermont for graduate school and have never left.
I now live in Colchester with my wife, Kerry, who is also an educator. We have two children—our son Doug and daughter Hadley—as well as an energetic golden retriever mix named Oakley who keeps us on our toes! Outside of school, I enjoy coaching my kids' teams, hiking, and staying active in the community and outdoors.
